If you have problems with your clutch on Suzuki Intruder / Boulevard (M109R / VZR1800) 2006 - 2009, you replace the clutch with a new stock one - problems with shifting gears from first to second and rapid wear will come back to you again! It is necessary to change the worn-out clutch to a new version - a reinforced kit with the correction of design flaws of the first generation. This kit has a smaller weight of discs, which this time are made of another stronger and lighter material, which reduces the load on the springs and reduces their wear. The springs themselves are also made of a stronger material, and the reduced weight of the friction discs eliminates their deformation and "loosening", which previously caused your clutch to rattle violently. The kit also takes into account the famous problem of complicated switching between first and second gear, which is why the clutch often failed at a faster pace...
The fact is that in the 06-09 models there was a structural defect, which consisted in the fact that there was an increased difference of teeth between the sizes of the gears of the 1st and 2nd gears, which led to the possibility of switching between the first and second gears only at speeds below 15 km per hour (at speeds higher, switching was difficult and led to a breakdown). In the models of 2010 and above, this problem was eliminated already in the stock version. Thanks to the installation of a new lightweight set of disks, the process of switching from first to second speed is also significantly facilitated, but this does not negate the fact that this is not a "sport bike" and it is strictly forbidden to turn on the speeds on it with a kick!

Remark!
There are no problems with the clutch of these motorcycles! These motorcycles have problems with some owners who like to turn on the speed kick! This motorcycle has a special problem with the owners who switched to them from sports motorcycles! I have one of the 2008 bikes with a stock clutch and there are no problems with it and it is not expected! Also, if you change the clutch somewhere to EBC brand discs, buy two or three sets at once, because you will change this "China" at least 2 times during the season!
