A servo emulator With a DIODE INDICATOR (sometimes also called an "exam emulator") is one of the necessary elements for the normalization of the Suzuki Intruder / Boulevard motorcycle computer system (M109R / C109R/T / VZR1800 / M1800R / VLR1800)! This emulator should be installed on every motorcycle using any type of ramjet exhaust system.
In addition to the M109R / VZR1800 / M1800R, the emulator is also compatible with the following Suzuki models:
Boulevard: C109R/T (2008-2015), GSX-R600 (2004-2010), GSX-R750 (2004-2010), GSX-R1000 (2001-2008), GSX-S1000 (from 2015 and above);
Intruder: C1800R (2008-2015), VLR1800 (2008-2015).
The main problem that is eliminated when installing the emulator is the F1 (FI) error, which starts flashing on your dashboard after installing the direct current! The fact is that when the stock silencer is dismantled, the servo is removed, which, by pulling two cables, regulates the opening and closing of the flap in it. There is no such system on the direct currents and therefore there is nothing to regulate there ... the "brains" of the motorcycle do not know anything about the changes and still try to adjust the cables according to a given program, but without receiving a response from them, they report a system error, displaying it as a flashing error on the dashboard.
Often, the "collective farm masters" simply remove the servo, and in order not to blink the error, they simply bite one of the wires that comes from the "brains" of the motorcycle. This is completely wrong and is not a "cure" for the problem, but only makes the bike work in a stressful mode without maximum return!
The second solution to this problem is to install a lock on the servo. This blocker comes complete with most direct currents and looks like a small metal part that is screwed onto a servo instead of a hooking mechanism that controls the tension of the cables. This will partially solve the problem, but there is one big BUT! The fact is that the blocker very roughly "stops" the servo when it scrolls left and right, when the tension of the cables is simulated, and several plastic gears are used in the servo, which will lose half of the teeth in one year of such operation... Thus, the blocker disables the servo quite quickly and if you have a desire to return the stock silencer to such a motorcycle, then it will not be possible to restore its operation. The new servo is very, very expensive (within 30,000 at the time of 2016)!
That is why the option of installing an electronic emulator instead of your stock servo will not only make the motorcycle work correctly, but will also save you the necessary detail that may come in handy!
