Maintenance kit for American-made low-resistance filters "K&N" +INSTRUCTIONS!

A kit for maintenance of low-resistance filters (zero-resistance filters / zero filters) "K&N" manufactured in the USA. Not China!

Specification:
The kit includes two components: a solvent that removes dirt from the filter element and an impregnation that prevents the penetration of fine particles through the filter. Reusable low-resistance filters must be serviced according to mileage, namely every 6,000 km. The kit is enough for several services - it all depends on the size and number of filters on your motorcycle model.

Instructions for using the kit:

1. Remove (remove from the housing) the air filter/filters and release them from the fasteners. Pay special attention to the small aluminum washers, which, for example, are included in the mounting kit for these filters for motorcycles M109R / VZR1800 / M1800R.

2. Using a solvent spray from the K&N low-resistance filter maintenance kit, spray the outside and inside of the filter/filters.
   Attention! Try to ensure that the composition falls into all facets of the filter element.

3. Leave the filters treated with the cleaning compound for 10 minutes at room temperature so that the solution begins to interact with the contamination.
   Attention! The use of solvents or similar liquids from other manufacturers, as well as those simply not intended for this procedure, can damage the filter element and make the filter/filters unsuitable for further operation!

4. Rinse all filter elements with clean, cold, pressurized water, directing the water flow from the inside of the filter.
   Attention! Do not use too much compressor pressure and liquids other than regular clean water! You can rinse the filters in a basin or other container, and then use an air compressor to purge the filter and remove dirty water using the compressor on the inside of the filter/filters. Try not to use brushes or other crude physical devices.

5. Leave the filter/filters at room temperature until completely dry. If the contamination is severe, the cleaning procedure should be repeated (preferably until the characteristic purple color of the filter element appears).
   Attention! Do not use wet/wet filters on a running motorcycle!

6. Apply the impregnating compound from a complete can with a red cap evenly to the cleaned and completely dried filter/filtrate, spraying the solution from about 7 cm away. Allow the oil to soak into the surface of the filter element for about 20 minutes. Make sure that the sprayed substance gets into all facets of the filter element! The impregnating liquid has a red color and you just need to try to cover all the surfaces of the filter element from the outside of the filter / filters.
   Attention! Do not apply the impregnation unnecessarily. The surface of the filter element should not be wet and, moreover, should not have streaks of an impregnating substance. Remove excess impregnation from the rubber parts of the filter/filters with a regular cloth or cloth.

Please note that proper maintenance of low-resistance filters takes a long time. Take your time and try to clean and dry your filters thoroughly. Proper cleaning and maintenance will take at least a day, and if you plan to have your filters serviced, then you will have to leave the motorcycle for one or two days - be prepared for this!
